Walking is the most authentic way to discover our surroundings and to connect with the people who live there. All we need is time and space.
The Serra de Tramuntana was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 29 June 2011, in the category of Cultural Landscape. This recognition celebrates the extraordinary harmony between human activity and nature in the area—shaped over centuries through the exchange of knowledge between cultures.
The Mallorca Tourism Foundation invites you to rediscover this mountain range, which stretches 90 km from Andratx to Pollença, through a carefully curated selection of walking routes designed to let you savour its natural and cultural richness, one step at a time.
The project has since grown, and now includes 19 new routes, expanding the offering from a previous phase. In total, the website now features 37 itineraries, available in Catalan and Spanish, with 19 already translated into English and German, making them accessible to a broader, more diverse audience.
We invite you to rediscover the Serra, to experience its natural heritage through walking and observation, and to let yourself be surprised by its cultural treasures. You'll do this by following its dry-stone paths and scenic routes that link plains and peaks, farms and estates, towers and watchpoints, villages and manor houses, charcoal camps and remote mountain plots, stories and legends, folktales and local lore.
Mallorca’s nature lies at your feet—waiting only for you to take the first step, with love and respect for the environment. Because while we all have the right to enjoy the landscape, we also share the duty to protect it. Life is one of the greatest and most thrilling adventures, and this is your invitation to live and share truly unique experiences.
This collection of routes is a firm commitment to hiking — understood not just as a sport, but as a way to learn about and appreciate part of our history, a history written across the landscape itself. A cultural landscape, a World Heritage Site, of priceless value.
Now it’s your turn — rediscover the Serra de Tramuntana, now with more routes than ever before.
